Slav's Statistics
I've just checked out our manager on Wiki. His managerial stats. are a 37% win ratio for us. His time with Hadjuk Split, Croatia, Besiktas were all much better. I think the Premier League is the hardest but even so this is worrying.?

Re: Slav's Statistics
So if you go by the stats, Allardyce was better than Greenwood.

Anyway, Bilic has also won more games than he's lost, and I like the way you have rounded 37.5% down to 37%.

These stats are pointless, just like this thread.

interesting stats. makes my blood boil to think that Bonzo got the archer's with that win ratio (43%). Wait a minute a certain Mr. Redknapp was involved .... that explains it then.

Re: Slav's Statistics
If it was 37% each season, rather than an average of two, it would be a good start.

Guarantees you 42 points in wins, so add some draws, you've got 50 points a season, as as a starting point. Good enough for 8th.

However, it's a very small sample size of two seasons. This year's win ratio is sub 30% Doesn't need to drop much, to be a relegation win ratio.

So is Bilic on a downward win ratio curve?

Re: Slav's Statistics
This season was always going to be a challenge for obvious reasons and yes, it hasn't been great. Many of Bilic's decisions have been perplexing and left me scratching my head. We've suffered some humiliating losses and have only really had a handful of decent performances to savour at the OS.

Regardless of all that Bilic is still 10 times the manager Allardyce was. Even with all the injuries we've suffered over the season, I go to matches hoping that we're able to put on a performance, rather than knowing we'll be shutting up shop and trying to nick a goal.

For all his shortcomings Bilic has the fans and most of the team behind him, he tries to set his team out to play the right way, and I believe he's earnt another season to prove himself.

And right there if you want Slav out, you have left yourself open to the fact that maybe he didn't buy all of the dross last summer either then?

He never brought Antonio, Sullivan did, and only played him once Moses was injured.

Re: Slav's Statistics
Would hazard a guess that premiership only, Slav is right up there, if not at the top.

Modern fans only see what's happened recently, so for every Tore and Feghouli, they forget Antonio and Lanzini who he also brought in.

Re: Slav's Statistics
Slaven's win % is very respectable compared to previous managers...

Apparently Alan Curbishley holds the best win Premier League win percentage at West Ham (37.10%). Bilic has 36%.

Over all games Bilic is better than: Redknapp, Greenwood, Macari

And not far behind Allardyce, Pardew, given that they had stretches out of the top flight.

It's a team
The lack of strikers makes you more vulnerable defensively as the other team can push forward with no worries.
Ayew and Calleri could still be on the pitch this morning and wouldn't have scored since Sunday.
James Milner played left wing as he wasn't worried about anyone forcing him to actually be a left back.

Minus 18 goal difference ?

And we are all talking about strikers that we need !?!!

Couldn't make it up, midfield and defence are our priorities

I don't care much for stats, the football is almost unwatchable though. That should bother anyone. Boring players, playing boring football. Like Allardyce-lite.

Fuck me, our lot are much worse than Arsenal fans.

They got used to winning stuff and want it back. Understandable.

Our lot are a proper embarrassment. Suit the stadium they all wanted to be fair.

Re: Slav's Statistics
Christ we has as many pathetic fans as arsenal nowadays.

His record for us was brilliant when we had our own stadium and I guarantee it would have been better this season if we were still there.

Why do people have such an issue with bosmans? it's the quality of the players you should be looking at, not whether they signed on a free.

Re: Slav's Statistics
Besitkas played in a neutral stadium while he was there didn't they?
And won the league when they moved into their new ground.

I'm more interested in what he has done with us. He has one good season & one where he has raised major doubts.
This season has been a DEBACLE and other teams shitness has saved us as we have regressed to how we were at the end of the Allardyce era.
I imagine he will be reluctantly allowed to carry on with the finger poised over the trigger finger.
How that scenario and relationship plays out when he is asking for money to buy players is worrying.
Lots of doubts and second guessing I suspect.
Plus loans & Bosmans?

Re: Slav's Statistics
Hadjuk are the Celtic or Rangers of Croatia. He only managed there for 16 games anyway. Besiktas are also always in the top four in the Super League. They actually won it last season.

So WH should keep Bilic because he has a better win percentage than Marco Silva who got relegated! Yep I see the logic there Miike. Hopefully our owners have more sense.
